Cole & Claire Bear Report

Sometimes there are events in life that make you so grateful for what you have. This event for me was a recent death of Mark's best friend Erin. In cases like this you have to wonder what God has in store by taking someone at the ripe age of 36. Does this make me look at my life, you bet. Does it make regret choice in life? NO. It makes me want to live my life to the fullest and do what makes me happy. I am so lucky to have our amazing son Cole, and my amazing husband Mark. This life we have created, we will continue to make the best of. I know it's hard to be positive in a situation like this, but we are trying. That's what Erin would have wanted ;-) We love him and will miss him so much, and will continue to live our lives with him in our minds and hearts.

On Cole's actual birthday October 5th, I couldnt help myself to look back at the day he was born, and think about our life in the last year. We have had some rocky bumps in the road but Cole has really helped us in all these horrible situations. I really think that Cole has been our guiding light in life the last year. He trly makes us so happy, and watching him grow each day makes me smile. When I was pregenant, people would tell me motherhood was the most amazing thing. I did not know how amazing it was until that moment I held him in my arms. Everytime he does something new, or adorable I feel so proud to be his mom. I feel blessed to have Cole every second of every day. I went back and looked at pics of the day he was born, and thought I would share a few along with a few on his birthday!

Mark, Cole and I got the advantage to go to Las Vegas this last week with Mark's parents. We ahd so much fun, and really enjoyed the much needed vacation. Cole was the best! Didn't fuss once on either flight, in fact slept both ways. Loved the lights and all that Vegas had to offer! Cole was my good luck charm apparently! I won big twice on two penny slot machines! 1st win on the sex in the city slot machine bringing in $550 and another win of $138 on a wizard of oz slot machine. We even got to go to the aquarium, making it Cole's 1st trip! He didn't really care about the sharks as much as he loved the fish! He had so much fun! We really enjoyed relaxing time together!! THank you so much to Bonny and Bob for an amazing trip!

We had so much fun last Sunday celebrating Cole's 1st birthday with family and friends! It was so great to have so many loved ones there, we feel so blessed! Cole had so much fun with his cake! He managed to get it all over him, his shirt and the floor! Here's a few pics !

I cannot even believe it was almost a year ago that Cole was brought into our lives. While the day of him birth is still fresh on our minds, there is not another day that I have felt so many emotions as I did the day he was born. I still consiter that day the scariest and happiest day of my life. While the day itself did not go the way we planned it, once I met Cole... it was all worth it. When I was pregnant, it used to annoy me people telling me all the time to get my sleep now. I was huge and Cole kicked all the time, how was I supposed to get my sleep? Well Cole may not be the perfect sleeper, getting up in the middle of the night does not bother me because I love holding him in my arms and snuggling with him. These moments make everything in the world seem perfect. and I would not trade it for anything. Looking back on this year, I feel Mark and I have learned o much about our parenting values, skills, and also us together as a team trying to raise a child. I know that in the last...

So Cole is obsessed with Taz! Loves to crawl afterhim and wants to be best friends. Taz stays close, but not too close! Cole loves to grab his hair! Funny enough Cole will call him dog, and we tell him cat.. but I suppose he is the size of a small dog ;-) Here is a pic of Cole torturing Taz!!
